QA Inside Every Sprint, Not at the End

SprintOne Labs tests software inside every sprint, providing software testing services for web, mobile and API products built by product teams, startups and agencies. Our QA engineers work in the same sprint as your developers, autotests run on every build, and >97% of critical defects are found before release. As a quality-first engineering agency, we offer software testing and quality assurance services in three formats: a dedicated QA team, project-based QA testing services, or full QA outsourcing. The result: fewer production defects and faster releases.

What Are Software Testing Services?

Software testing services are professional activities that evaluate whether an application works correctly, securely and efficiently before release. A provider plans the tests, runs them by hand or with automation, reports defects and confirms the fixes. The goal is a product that behaves as specified under real conditions.

Three terms often get mixed up:

Most software quality assurance services combine all three. We do too, and we start in the first sprint instead of the last week. That timing is the main difference between our software QA services and end-of-project testing.

What We Test

Each of these application testing services can run alone or as part of one sprint plan. Together they form our software QA testing services.

Manual & Functional Testing

Testers walk every user flow against the requirements. Exploratory testing sessions cover what scripted test cases miss.

Regression Testing

Existing features get rechecked after each change. For a SaaS team releasing every two weeks, that removes the regression week before launch.

Mobile App Testing

iOS and Android builds run on real devices for the most common models. A cloud device farm covers the long tail.

API & Integration Testing

Endpoints, contracts and data flows are verified below the UI. Integration testing confirms that services still talk to each other after a deploy.

Performance & Load Testing

Load scripts in JMeter or k6 show response times under expected and peak traffic. An e-commerce checkout before peak season is the classic case.

Security & Penetration Testing

Security testing targets web and API weaknesses from the OWASP Top 10. Teams preparing for ISO 27001 audits use the penetration testing report as evidence.

Usability & Accessibility Testing

Usability testing reveals where real users hesitate or drop off. Accessibility testing compares each screen with WCAG criteria.

Compatibility & Cross-Browser Testing

Compatibility testing covers the browsers, operating systems and screen sizes your analytics show. Layout and behavior get compared on each.

Test Automation

Stable, repeated checks move into code: Playwright + TypeScript or Cypress, run by GitHub Actions in Docker, reported in Allure. Details live on our QA automation page.

Our Sprint Testing Process: Day 1 to Release

Testing follows your sprint calendar and starts on day 1. Here is a first two-week sprint with us.

  1. Days 1–2: Discovery and QA audit. We read your docs, existing test cases and bug history. Gaps in coverage get listed before any new test is written. You see the list the same day.
  2. Days 3–4: Test strategy and test plan. Scope, environments, devices, entry and exit criteria go into one short document. You approve it in writing. Nothing runs until then.
  3. Week 1: Test design. Cases and test data are written while developers code the same stories. Every case traces back to a requirement. Untestable requirements get flagged early.
  4. Week 2: Execution and defect reporting. Daily reports list each defect with severity and reproduction steps. Automated checks plug into your CI/CD pipeline. Defect tracking stays in the tool you already use.
  5. Release day: Regression, sign-off and handover. A release readiness report states what passed and what remains open. All test assets become your property. Then the calendar repeats for the next sprint.

We name tools by category on purpose: test management, defect tracking, CI/CD. Your stack decides the vendor.

Ways to Work With Us

Pick the format that matches your release rhythm. All three deliver the same QA and testing services.

Dedicated QA Team

Best for products with ongoing releases. Engineers join your sprints and tools within 3–5 business days and report directly to you. You scale up before a release and down after it without re-signing the contract. We start with a short call about roles and stack. Billing is monthly, based on hourly rates. See dedicated teams for the full model.

Project-Based Testing

Best for a pre-release check or a one-time audit. We agree on a fixed scope, run the tests and deliver a report. This format suits teams that want independent software testing services before a launch. Work starts once we have a build and your requirements. Billing is a fixed price for the agreed scope.

Managed QA / QA Outsourcing

Best for companies without an in-house QA function. We own the test process end to end: strategy, test cases, execution, reporting. QA consulting on process and tooling is included. Managed testing services start with an audit of what exists today. Billing is a monthly fee tied to scope, which keeps quality assurance and testing services predictable.

What Software Testing Costs

Rates are public here, shown as one sprint instead of a rate card. Take a two-week sprint with 1 developer at $65–75/h for 80 hours and a QA engineer at half allocation, $40–45/h for 40 hours. That sprint costs about $6,800–$7,800. An automation engineer adds $45–55/h. There is no minimum project. Final rates depend on seniority, stack and time-zone overlap.

Three things drive the total for QA services: scope (platforms and test types), depth (manual or automated, how much coverage) and cadence (one-time or ongoing).

Engagement model What's included Typical range
Dedicated QA team QA engineer inside your sprints, daily reports, regression before each release $40–45/h manual QA; $45–55/h automation
Project-based testing Fixed scope, test plan, execution, final report Fixed quote; typical US market range for small projects: $500–$5,000
Managed QA / QA outsourcing Strategy, test design, execution and reporting owned by us Monthly fee; typical US market range: $15–$150+/h

Why SprintOne Labs

Four reasons product teams choose us as their software testing company.

QA Inside Every Sprint

97% of critical defects are caught before release. Our engineers test alongside your developers, and autotests run on every build. You ship on schedule without a regression week.

Results Criteria in Writing

We agree on what "done" means before work starts. You judge the work against those criteria, not against logged hours. Disputes about scope end before they begin.

Independent Testing From a QA-Founded Team

The founder is a QA engineer with 7+ years in testing. One engineer on the team is ISTQB-certified. As a software testing services company, we report what we find, not what a developer hopes to hear.

Direct Contact With Your Testers

You talk to the engineers who test your product in a shared channel. No account manager relays messages. Questions get answered by the person who ran the test.

Beyond QA: Development, Mobile, DevOps, AI and Team Extension

We started in QA and grew into a full engineering team.

A QA-First Engineering Team

A QA engineer with 7+ years in testing founded the company. The founder saw QA vendors selling hours instead of quality. That observation set the rule we still follow: testing starts in sprint one, and results criteria are agreed before work begins. The team later grew from testing into development, mobile, DevOps and AI. The rule did not change. Your main contact is our Head of Delivery, not a sales rep. The people in your channel are the people doing the work. We publish no headcount and no client list here. Judge us by the first sprint.

AI in Testing — and Testing AI

AI speeds up two parts of our work: drafting test cases and reading logs. Humans keep the risk judgment and the acceptance decision. A model can suggest a test, but an engineer decides whether a release is safe. We also build AI features and test them on real user scenarios before users see them. Those checks cover response stability, incorrect input and behavior on failure. Manual QA is not going away. Its focus is moving from repetitive checks to exploratory work and judgment.

Free QA Audit in 2–3 business days

Your release cycle gets a free check first. We look at how a change travels from ticket to production and where defects slip through. The audit covers:

You receive a short audit report with findings, risks and recommendations. It arrives 2–3 business days after you provide access and product info. No commitment follows. You can hand the report to your own team or ask us for an estimate.

FAQ

What are software testing services?

Software testing services are outsourced QA work that checks an application before users do. SprintOne Labs covers web, mobile and API products with manual and automated tests. The work runs inside your sprints, so each build is verified as it is produced. Teams use it to cut defect leakage and shorten time-to-market.

How much do software testing services cost?

Cost depends on scope, depth and cadence. Our manual QA runs $40–45/h and QA automation $45–55/h for US clients, with no minimum project. A two-week sprint with one developer and a half-time tester comes to roughly $6,800–$7,800. Fixed quotes are available for one-time projects.

What is the difference between QA and software testing?

QA is the process that prevents defects; software testing is the activity that finds them. QA covers standards, reviews and release rules across the whole lifecycle. Testing executes cases against a build and logs what fails. A sound engagement includes both, because finding bugs late costs more than preventing them early.

How long does software testing take?

A one-time test cycle for a single release usually takes days, not months. Ongoing testing has no end date: it follows your sprint length. Discovery comes first, then test design and execution run alongside development. Our Free QA Audit report is ready 2–3 business days after access.

Do you test mobile apps and APIs as well as web?

Yes, we test web, mobile and API layers in one plan. Mobile builds run on real iOS and Android devices plus a cloud device farm. APIs get contract, integration and load checks below the UI. One team covers all three, so a defect is traced across layers instead of bounced between vendors.

Can you work alongside our in-house developers and QA?

Yes, our engineers join your existing sprints, tools and ceremonies. They report directly to your lead and use your tracker and CI/CD pipeline. Onboarding takes 3–5 business days. You can add people before a big release and reduce the team afterward without signing a new contract.

Will AI replace manual QA testing?

No, AI changes manual QA work but does not remove it. Models draft test cases and summarize logs faster than people. They cannot judge business risk or decide that a release is acceptable. We use AI where it saves time and keep engineers responsible for exploratory testing and sign-off.
