What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. It lets the site remember something between page loads, such as a choice you made. Some cookies vanish as soon as the browser closes. Others stay for a fixed period.
Which Cookies We Use
SprintOne Labs uses two categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies keep the site functioning and store your banner choice.
- Analytics cookies count visits and page views through Google Analytics.
We set no advertising cookies. Nothing here tracks you across other websites for ad targeting.
| Cookie category | Purpose | Duration | How to disable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary: session | Keeps form and page state stable during a visit | Until the browser closes | Browser settings only; the site may then misbehave |
| Strictly necessary: consent | Remembers your banner choice | Up to 12 months | Delete it in the browser; the banner then reappears |
Analytics: _ga |
Tells one visitor from another in traffic statistics | 2 years | Decline in the banner, or use the footer link |
Analytics: _ga_ plus property ID |
Keeps session state for Google Analytics | 2 years | Decline in the banner, or use the footer link |
How the Consent Banner Behaves
On your first visit, a banner offers "Accept" and "Decline" with equal weight. Analytics cookies load only after "Accept". "Decline" keeps them off, and the site works the same. The footer link "Cookie settings" reopens the banner whenever you want to switch. We ask again when the stored choice expires.
Browser-Level Opt-Out
Every major browser can block or erase cookies:
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy & Security
- Safari: Settings, then Privacy
- Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions
Google also publishes an opt-out add-on that stops Google Analytics on all sites you visit.
